    My Polish SKS replica

Kind of like all those Pontiac Fieros that got used as hosts for Lamborghini kits replicas
Started out with a stock I picked up here on Gunboards. Found a bag of parts Type 56 that local shop was going to build as something tacticool, but ran out of ambition. Good for me and the world gets one less SKS in a TAPCO stock.
The polish stock is unaltered other than repairing the stripped cross bolts - both. "Bag of parts" was missing magazine and recoil spring assembly; bolt, carrier and trigger group matched the receiver. Receiver cover was wire wheeled, rest was pretty spotty. Bore looks great. For some reason I felt like adding a Polish sling - I know the parade rifles didn't have one, but the sling swivel was there.

    The final result:

Wow!!! Really like the looks of that. The stock has a slightly rounded appearance between the bolts that I like. Is it really that way or just the angle of the photo?

Another one too pretty to shoot. Awesome.

After cleaning up my yugo SKS, i understand what the front cross bolt does, but what does the one in the rear do?, my yugo doesn't have one.

I like that stock, pretty wood. Where could i get one, and would it fit my Yugo 59/66?

Not 100% sure on what the rear one does, but see these mostly in laminated stocks.
Got it from a guy on GunBoards. See them sometimes on GunBroker, but most are missing the metal pieces.
    Should fit a Yugo.
