Bill Bans Cartoon Characters From Marketing Firearms

They have been slowly editing firearms out of children’s media for years, now this.

I know another bill that should be introduced: ban politicians from advertising on TV and radio. This would go a long way to curbing illegal campaign contributions. A definite plus needed to keep politicians out of trouble. Can't have them getting into trouble...

How long before Elmer Fudd is chasing Bugs or Daffy with a pea shooter?

For them that's still to violent. If however Elmer was chasing Bugs with an erection in his hand they'd be all for that one.

Considering Bug's penchant for dressing in drag, I suspect you're right.

That reminded me of this story back from June of this year. It’s an article about a piece this guy named Stern wrote for Slate. He goes off on classic cartoons, like Looney Toons, saying after SH they are “appallingly macabre”.

People who get upset at the use of firearms in youth media today in the U.S., would shit a brick if they say some of the stuff Japan puts out.
