Interesting article. The most interesting thing was how this person, and his other liberal gun owning friends, own guns because they are concerned of a all powerful central government and yet every program they support requires an all powerful central government to carry out. Maybe someday they will see the contradiction in their beliefs.

Years ago I had a subscription to RS and loved it. As time went by and I read the political articles, I had to quit. P J O'Rourke had some great stuff, but Travers and Greider made my bp too high. Kinda like the Backpacker magazine forums.
I have people in my family like that.

That's how the gangsters used to deal with snitches.
I remember when I was a kid we were driving through the ghetto area of downtown and my mom just happened to casually mention, "Some nigger got his throat slit on that corner for being a snitch". Mmmmkay.......I was a bit taken a back but did consider it an interesting bit of local trivia.
Those old buildings were wiped out in urban renewal decades ago, there's a parking lot for the arts center on that corner now.
