"Who is the tall dark liberal there, Maverick is his name,...."
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
Politics aside, I always enjoyed the man's work, he was a good actor.
Rather than dwelling on his faults at his death, I mourn his passing and give thanks for the entertainment he brought to my life.
RIP
I did sooooooo like the Rockford Files. good bs tv for it's time.
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.

+1 It always kills me when a great actor or muscian dies & the dipshit chorus chimes in with, "Wall, he wuz a Liberal".
If you were to take out all the people who are/were of a liberal bent from all of the Arts there would hardly be any to name & that's a hard fact.
The man was a Korean War combat vet who was twice awarded the Purple Heart for chrissakes. How many of you can make that claim?
Sorry to be the idiot, I guess. I am sorry he is dead, death is a sad thing. I liked his shows and think Support Your Local Sheriff is one of the funniest movies made.
I am also not a big fan of whitewashing people after they die and forgetting who they really were. He was a great actor, he was a combat veteran who was wounded. He was also a liberal and supported liberal causes with money, time, and his fame which helped us, as a country, get in the state we are now in. I prefer to remember the whole person, not a dream like version of a person.

No problems my friend. James Garner was a big star to my generation along with a number of others. Very few of them are left these days & I guess it reminds me of how fast time is passing. I wasn't aware he was a big supporter of liberal causes but then again in Hollywood that seems to be more the rule than the exception.
RIP Maverick.
I don't guess I heard his views about liberal topics so I will not worry about his opinions on those matters.
BUT when we all reach judgement day, it will not matter whether we were good actors, doctors, lawyers, laborers, etc.
It Will matter then if we had any part in the killing of the innocents or supporting issues that are against the Almighty's plan (Dem or Rep).

Sorry to hear that. I loved Brett Maverick, Rockford not so much, but I spent lotsa time in a parking lot practicing the Rockford J-turn.
I also liked his role in Space Cowboys.
RIP
Usually sufferers of paraphilic infantilism are proud of their condition. Kinda like being a liberal. Your mental flaws are there for the entire world to see, and you're damned proud of it. - tank_monkey
