    New gun buy today...

I picked up a Stevens hammerless single barrel 12 ga today at a garage sale for 40 bucks. The receiver and barrel are nice and tight. It has some surface rust spots that cleaned off pretty well. Pretty tiger strip wood. The barrel had been cut down to 18 1/2 inchrs. I bet it kicks like a mother. Neat behind the seat truck gun. No pic, I don't have my camera to computer cable with me....chris3

With all the new Colorado gun laws, garage sale bargains are history. By the time I pay transfers/BG/tax. I just as well buy at LGS. Guess I'll live out of safes for a while!
    Congrats on your purchase.

last night. The recoil was not near what I expected. Much less. Big flame from the short barrel though.....chris3

i been looking for a Canadian made single barrel off and on for a while. i prefer a LONG barrel though. My go to is a 1972 wingmaster with a 30 inch barrel. I love it. I hope you have fun with the new scattergun

Less recoil, lots of flame and lots more noise!

I have a similar savage hammer single shot with 18.5" barrel, it feels like getting hit in the shoulder with a golf club

I like my mossy 835... with 3½" 00 buck, it has 18 .30 cal shot... with the plug gone, it hold 5 rounds. It will clear the door way.
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...
