Cool Arctic Sea Ice Has Grown - Women, Minorities and Al Gore Hardest Hit

Myth of arctic meltdown: Stunning satellite images show summer ice cap is thicker and covers 1.7million square kilometres MORE than 2 years ago...despite Al Gore's prediction it would be ICE-FREE by now

Regardless of what the polar ice caps are doing, and regardless of what the global temperature history is doing, it's all NATURAL. It's the output power of the sun that's changing. Amazingly, without any "man made greenhouse gases", other planets in our solar system are also warming. The ice caps of Mars (made of, by the way, frozen CO2) are slowly shrinking.

Man's total carbon output is a puny drop in the ocean compared to the amount of carbon sequestered in the ocean as carbonates and carbonic acid.

The majority of "green plants" that process CO2 into oxygen are not the tree-huggers forests, nor is it the grass or anything else on land. Most of the green is in the oceans, and the oceans keep the earth's CO2 regulated.

If the earth gets warmer because of the sun's output changing, the oceans will get warmer, algae and other green plants in the oceans will grow more and consume even more CO2, thereby balancing the planet's chemistry.

If people want to make up fantasy "science" about "global warming", that's fine... let them have their fun. But when their games result in legislation, taxes and other grief (caused by their fantasy), it's time to put an and to the game.

Scientists have recently discovered the root cause of global warming: They claim there is an enormous star at the center of our solar system causing it.

Don't worry, the usual suspects will be here shortly to explain how an increase in sea ice is a result of global warming, and if we don't do something the whole earth will be covered.

Oh I'm sure the resident scientist will set us all right on this bit of confusion.

Facts ARE confusing to liberals. They'll go to extremes to explain how the facts are incorrect. It just boggles the mind, sometimes.

Yep, will be interesting to see LAGC and Kadmos's DNC explaination.

The explanation will be that ice is receding somewhere else, thus (in their minds) proving it's due to globular warmin's, and not a natural cycle that's been going on for millions of years...

Naaah, it's because of a cooling trend in the ocean -a normal cycle unrelated to the global pattern. It's caused by....ummmmm....undersea volcanoes....not venting so much....yeah! That's the ticket!
They do that- the volcanoes in the ocean cool off sometimes....yah!

    Wink

    DailyMail = British tabloid.

The whole argument is nothing but a straw-man.

No one is disputing that sea ice is gaining, but this is largely because of cold water run-off from land ice melting at a much faster rate.

Greenland's ice sheet is shrinking rapidly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenla...ting_ice_sheet

    Antarctica's as well: http://skepticalscience.com/antarctica-gaining-ice.htm

And, yes, Al Gore is a hypocritical fool.

Still have your doubts? Come on out here and see Glacier National Park in northern Montana.

What's left of it, that is...

Control for Mars' different seasons due to its longer orbit, and get back to us.

Man's total carbon output is a puny drop in the ocean compared to the amount of carbon sequestered in the ocean as carbonates and carbonic acid.
I thought you were claiming before that the ocean WASN'T becoming more acidic? Now you're admitting that carbon is indeed being sequestered in the oceans?

    http://ocean.nationalgeographic.com/...acidification/

Indeed, increasing ocean acidification is reason enough alone to reign in carbon emissions, even if you deny the greater warming trend and rising sea levels threatening coastal cities.

If that were true, there wouldn't be elevated levels of CO2 in the atmosphere to measure at all. There would always be equilibrium.

If people want to make up fantasy "science" about "global warming", that's fine... let them have their fun. But when their games result in legislation, taxes and other grief (caused by their fantasy), it's time to put an and to the game.
That statement can just as easily be turned on its head: "If people want to keep their heads stuck in the sand and believe climate change isn't happening, that's fine... let them have their fun. But when their ignorance results in more farmland becoming arid, shrinking crops, starving people -- it's time to quit fucking around."

    Just sayin'.

How about the rest of the planets in our solar system LAGC? Got an explanation for them?

    What about them?

They all have orbits completely different from ours, many with much longer seasons (summer and winter) that all need to be taken into account before trying to compare their climate during a given time-frame with ours.

How ironic, someone so willfully ignorant of science calling people "stupid."
