Report: Nearly a Dozen Commercial Airliners Missing Ahead of 9/11 Anniversary

Leading up to the somber anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, there are fresh fears of possible 9/11-style attacks taking place across North Africa as radical Islamist groups in Libya have reportedly seized nearly a dozen commercial airliners in the last month.

While counterterrorism officials are reportedly concerned that the missing jetliners could be used by terrorists to carry out deadly attacks, the timing of the theft is also setting off alarms. The concern is that radical Islamist groups will use the planes to mark the anniversary of the deadly 9/11 attacks, according to alleged intelligence reports disseminated within the U.S. government.

Reports that Islamist militias have seized the jetliners come just weeks before the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Yeah, there's a lot of jihad uses for airliners. Transporting their jihads, hauling bombs, being used as flying bombs, etc etc. I wonder if they'll spread the carnage around to various countries or hit just one in a wave? Of course they may be keeping them for western int agencies they get their orders from to use as false flags.

I remember years ago hearing about stolen tanker trucks, ambulances, etc...

Unknown if they were being stolen for their intrinsic value or to be used as weapons.

    What could possibly go wrong?

I wonder, do we let flights out of Libya land here? I'm assuming we do. (?)

Missing Libyan Jetliners Raise Fears of Suicide Airliner Attacks on 9/11

Egypt set for military intervention as Libya spirals toward failed state
Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.

Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.

“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

The official said the aircraft are a serious counterterrorism concern because reports of terrorist control over the Libyan airliners come three weeks before the 13th anniversary of 9/11 attacks and the second anniversary of the Libyan terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the Benghazi attack, which the Obama administration initially said was the result of a spontaneous demonstration against an anti-Muslim video.

A senior State Department counterterrorism official declined to comment on reports of the stolen jetliners.

A second State department official sought to downplay the reports. “We can’t confirm that,” he said.

Meanwhile, officials said Egyptian military forces appear to be preparing to intervene in Libya to prevent the country from becoming a failed state run by terrorists, many with ties to al Qaeda.

Meanwhile Obama funnels money and support to the worst of the worst.......Anybody notice he wants to destabilize Syria, Egypt and Libya at any cost? Egypt's military didn't go along with the program and he turned on them. Fact is whatever this muslim POS touches turns to shit.

No, but that's not were the big problem. Imagine one of these planes loaded down with explosive material. Shut down all the transponders and wait in an area over an ocean not covered by radar. Now when a plan that is squawking a transponder goes by you slip in under it. By ghosting under/behind that plan you can slip right into a very busy area undetected. Now if your target is fairly close to the destination airport, there is not enough time to scramble interceptors. Boom.

The noise is they're going to start hitting shopping malls, so this airliner business may not be the main event on 911.
Be that as it may, if ANYTHING happens on 911 what with all the spying on us going on but the borders forced open, it is the direct fault of the 0bama regime.

Could they do that and the plane they're shadowing not notice them? Don't they have to be pretty close to look like one object on radar?

What would these airliners be used for since flying to the USA mainland is really a stretch? What if they were used to take out the Saudi oil fields? Flying into the oil fields, refineries and other oil production facilities would do more than flying into a building in the US or Europe.

And since King Barack is against US oil production, what better way to hurt us?

Granted, but doing anything in Europe would be local, disruption of oil flow would be world wide.

Pull out the seats and replace them with fuel cells. You can fly anywhere in the world.

    Possibly the USA.
Or how about a suicide flight to the Vatican?
    Buckingham Palace?
    The Louvre?
    EU Parliament in Brussels?
    NATO HQ?

Large commercial aircraft means nothing. Do they have the range to cross the Atlantic? Regardless of what they say about the transponders, etc. if there is not a flight plan on file and proper communications between the aircraft and ground control do you think anyone is just going to say, come on in? I some backwater perhaps but not likely in any major city and not in the U.S. particularly around 9/11. Sure, it might could happen but are we talking probability or wishful thinking?
