Since we don't have a Made in USA AK forum, here is one in the pink!

    Literally!

    Thankfully furniture is easily changed.

Although it is kind of nice...

I know the wife would love it.

I've been seeing a few of those for sale around here(not pink), $550 range. Anyone have one, are they any good?

I don't like how the receiver sides have a simple machined hole instead of the tapered swipe the Chinese and Russian receivers have.

And what is this new thing with not only leaving out the cleaning rod BUT all of the correct front sight and other parts that hold the rod..... Its part of the design/look assholes. I actually hate all AK variants that don't have their cleaning rods.

    I agree with Bishop.
Also, The front sight looks like it is made of cast aluminum. I like the rough machining of my SAR1.

Well, switch out the furniture and get a decent flash hider and it wouldn't look too bad. (I agree with the feelings about no cleaning rod, but I can overlook that.)

A plus side to this is that you don't have to worry about any import laws.

Yeah... This is one of those times that I actually prefer the imports.

This one "breaks" a few minutes into the video.

Interesting video, and a very interesting OOPS! Never seen that kind of failure before, and it unfortunately plays into the hands of those who like to say that Americans use the cheapest stuff they can find when they build something, and when a metal part breaks that shouldn't, cheap does come to mind.

The spring guide broke at the base. I wonder if that is a US made part or did they get something cheap from say ... Romania?

The Romanian spring guide bases are made from a milled piece of steal. I bet Century uses a cast or MIM'd base.

My guess is cast. Obviously cast isn't as strong as being milled from billet, but even Century wouldn't be dumb enough to use MIM for parts that have to endure any significant stress. I'm willing to bet it was cast with some third rate quality pot metal.
