Congressman Amash: Obama is Operating ‘Contrary to the Constitution’

Almost immediately following the Obama ISIS speech, Congressman Justin Amash, fresh off an overwhelming victory over a GOP establishment-backed opponent, took to his popular Facebook page to remind Americans that neither Obama, nor any other president, has the authority to declare war, especially not a prolonged one.

Rep. Amash, who gave an epic victory speech that deconstructed the crony capitalist-funded GOP establishment following his primary victory last month, claimed that Obama leaked to news outlets that the war against ISIS would last at least three years, after Obama has left office.

From what I read, in the article, IF Obamanation does declare war without the approval of Congress, then this will qualify as an impeachable act. Now, all we need is someone with a set of gonads to get the ball rolling.

If the "war" on ISIS takes three years passed when he leaves office I would hope the American people don't elect someone who doesn't know how to properly run the military.

Which when I think about the prospect of another clinton as president, after throwing up everything I ate, I picture someone who hides under her desk while our service people are left without true leadership. That is unless someone steps up (as it four star general) and shows what our military is really made of.

No "war" or any other military action has been constitutionally legal since WW-II.

The Constitution has been run through the shredder too many times. I doubt it can be put back together.

Isis is a threat to us. We need to fight them over there, if it takes the rest of our lives, to keep them from coming over here. Bush was right. I must point out that, in my private life, I was right too. I think most of his predictions have been proven correct many times over. Say what you will about him, but he loved the military, did what was best for them especially after sending them into harms way, and did not abandon them like our current rat bastard has done. How many more Americans will die because of bam-stards unilateral withdrawal from Iraq?

Oh, you have it so wrong. Hitlerly would make a great military leader. She came back to the US with first-hand accounts of her bravery dodging bullets as she left a plane in Iraq, and accounts of her helping make sure all the soldiers she visited were properly in their foxholes when their platton came under fire, while she toured them on the front lines. She was there!

She's so brave and knowlegeable about military issues.
