I was wondering about that myself. Especially when the only rifle I have seen him pictured with is an AK and from the more recent sounds of it an airsoft one at that.

I also find it odd that there isn't more information out there about this guy. Heck if the news media doesn't have solid facts about someone on a case like this they usually speculate of make it up. The fact that they aren't in this case makes me think they know more about him then they are letting on and he doesn't fit their narative so they just don't release many details.

Since he is a Bosnian reenactor, I wonder if he wouldn't use a Zastava M77 in .308 that Century is currently importing.

So in media speak this means a Remington 700?
Yeah, I wonder where they get this Bullshit from. I live about 40 miles from where this happened. In Pa. it is unlawfull to hunt with any semi-automatic rifle. If it was a .308 it probably is a M-77. I have a Yugo M-76 but thats in 8mm Mauser. They both look very similiar. I hope they get him soon. I'm quite certain he will never see the inside of a jail cell, let alone a courtroom.

They showed a picture of the so called rifle nicely up against a tree in plain view with the mags close by. Now if this guy is on the run and knows what he is doing then I don't think he would just drop and go this weapon. Agree with something is strange here.

He was taking a crap next to that tree and got spooked.

    no sling either.

tough as hell to carry a rifle in your hands on shitty hily terrain all those days, and for being on the run you'd think it would be a little scratched/dinged up.

Maybe he is acting like Johnny Rambo and is trying to set up some kind of elaborate trap.

I bet he just got tired of carrying it and decided to stick with his scoped .308.

He found out he couldn't actually carry two rifles for very long.
