    Mossberg trench gun that isn't a 590

Picked up a beat up Mossberg trench/riot gun last week . Never had seen this configuration before - 7 shot tube and bayonet lug. 500ATP. Turns out these were made in the second half of the 70's and early 80's - before 590 was introduced.
Unfortunately I neglected to take a "before" picture - stock had been painted at some time black, stripped, leaving it almost blonde with remnants of black paint. Receiver was worn, barrel and mag tube were blotchy worn light gray.
I did an economy refinish - barrel and mag tube reblued, receiver painted.
I think it came out passable.
I'm guessing it may have been used by LE or corrections agency.

Nice old school shotty. It would look good next to a Smith revolver and nice lever action.

Nice find, I like the wood and lack of a heat shield. Does it have the metal trigger group?

Used Tetra Gun cold blue, ran out of that, finished with Birchwood Casey cold blue.
Plastic trigger guard. Nobody has seen one broken yet, so I'm fine with that.
