Angry G-Damnit! Just Got Hit with a Major Hailstorm!

Golf-ball size hail. Luckily my wife was home and we got a tarp over the garden in time. Lost a few tomatoes but most everything else made it. Sadly the cars got lots of dents. I'll have to check the house later - I just got a roof two years ago & painted it last year.

    Damn.

That must be the storm that blew through here saturday afternoon ,70+ mph winds, power poles and trees down all over the place only minor hail.

I can't imagine hail that size, it's a wonder folks don't get killed.

I haven't seen hail like that in years, especially this late in the year. We had a massive attack of marble-sized hail in May that wiped out our seedlings but didn't do much other damage. That lasted a full hour. It was small stuff but it relentlessly ground all the vegetation to the ground.

This time it only lasted about 20 min. My truck had lots of dents and the hard-tonneau cover is punctured. We saved most of the garden but a lots stuff got trashed.

At least the house got away with no damage. Neighbors had their shutters broken. I imagine vinyl siding would have been trashed too.

I think there is a freeze warning coming your way also.
I am going to ask why are you more concerned about
    a tomato than your vehicles?

Damn that climate change! After all hail storms never existed before we started spewing plant food into the air.... sorry to hear it.
