    Ebola hits Texas!

I guess our government now has their next crisis! Can't wait to see how this plays out.

I am going to start stocking some food in my house again. Quickly. Hopefully, a few months supply. Even if its just ramen noodles, spam, and water, it will be something. This is insane.

First confirmed case. The spuge was traveling from africa and was bleeding out and leaking all over when he was brought in. So expect more cases soon.

Makes you wonder what the real R nought factor is with this virus. This could not be good at all. Possibly even say bye bye to the fall elections.

If elections are cancelled, plenty of people will bleed out from the FMJ virus.

    No sir.

    Emergency Powers Act AmendmentsSB 112
“The Katrina Bill” -- No firearm confiscations during emergencies.
Prevents the seizure and confiscation of legally-possessed firearms and ammunition during a state of emergency or natural disaster. Hundreds of cases of such activity were documented in New Orleans and neighboring areas in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This law prevents the similar denial of an individual’s constitutional rights by state or local officials in the unfortunate event of any future man-made or natural disasters in Texas. A peace officer during an emergency can temporarily disarm an individual during an encounter, but must return the firearm and ammunition before ceasing to detain the person, unless there is an arrest or the firearm is evidence in a criminal investigation.
Passed (4/12/07), Signed by Governor Perry (4/27/07), Effective immediately

Ditto this. Nothing is going to be handed over. No door will be answered; unarmed, the weapon will not be unloaded, uncocked and it will be unlocked.

The crazy thing about it is.....most people think Ebola is as contagious as HIV. Actually it is more like Influenza. The public is stupid and naive about it. BUY HAND SANITIZER.

The bottom line here is that I have no doubt that we will control this importation or this case of Ebola so that it does not spread widely throughout this country,” Frieden said. “There’s no doubt in my mind, we will stop it here.”

Famous last words. This person needs to held accountable for this statement if the worst happens

Rice, beans, and spam makes a nice "jambalaya" style dish in a pinch.

I am concerned about whoever and whatever he was in contact with before he was actually became ill enough to seek medical help. He was on a plane with other people at some point. Took a leak somewhere. Sneezed, coughed somewhere. I think the gov is trying to keep a panic from happening.

I am thinking more quick, easy, fast, and easily transportable.

I can see how maybe they can get it under control. But I also can easily see how this can and likely will get out of control. This is scary.

Whoa. Where the FUCK do you get your info from? Ebola and HIV are transmitted via physical contact. And Ebola is WAY MORE dangerous than most influenza (save the Spanish Flu or other epic strains). Influenza is AIRBORNE, and hopefully EBOLA will not have mutated into an Airborne version. Ebola, one of the WORST of the Viral hemorrhagic fevers is fatal within 48 hours of exposure. Hand Sanitizer won't do shit. Or do W.H.O. doctors wear those Hazmat suits if Hand Sanitizer works so well?

If I had to my household does not have to leave the house for 4 months. I might be able to go 6 if we stretched things. I really hope it doesn't come to that.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." ----- Jack Burton 1986

Dude settle down and chew on a Prozac.
HIV: Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk.
Ebola:The virus may be acquired upon contact with blood or bodily fluids of an infected animal. See the difference?
Here let me break this shit down for you psychopath.
Purell Hand Sanitizer: PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer is so hard on germs, but gentle on hands that it makes other hand sanitizers obsolete. It’s scientifically formulated to kill the most germs.* Just 1 squirt of PURELL Advanced Hand Sanitizer kills as many germs as two squirts of any other national brand.
Germs: a microorganism, especially when disease-producing; microbe.
Microorganism: Microorganisms are very diverse and include all the bacteria and archaea and almost all the protozoa. They also include some members of the fungi, algae, and animals such as rotifers. Many macro animals and plants have juvenile stages which are also microorganisms. Some microbiologists also classify viruses as microorganisms, but others consider these as nonliving.
Where the FUCK do YOU get your info from?

Influenza: influenza is transmitted through the air by coughs or sneezes ( BODY FLUIDS ), creating aerosols containing the virus. Influenza can also be transmitted by direct contact with bird droppings or nasal secretions (BODY FLUIDS ), or through contact with contaminated surfaces. Airborne aerosols have been thought to cause most infections, although which means of transmission is most important is not absolutely clear.
