When I was in the Army/82Abn back in 1983 we were one of the first to use Kevlar helmets in a combat zone. Urgent Fury/Grenada was a good testing ground. One of our Officers took a AK around to there helmet on the side of it. Got imbedded. They had it on display in out HQ. Hopefully they put it in the Museum there on base.

Someone I know told me about a kevlar from Iraq with an ak round or two embedded in it in their division museum.
