Marines Take on the Korean Army!

In a Drum battle. I thought that this was pretty cool. As a former drummer myself and Marching band member.

That was great. Our boys totally took that little show.

That was a lot of fun, and it looked like both sides enjoyed it! The Marines totally took it though.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

    Nice!
A buddy from my marching band days has a story about the Marines facing the Santa Clara Vanguard drum line.
Seems the Vanguard kids have them a strong challenge. Surprised the hell out of the Marines but comes as little surprise if you know DCI

Years ago I marched with the Cavalier Cadets. I never went up to A core. I still kind of follow them on youtube. Drum Core sure has come a long way!

No kidding! I grew up near the Salem Oregon Argonauts but never toured. Was pretty disappointed. Did some practice with them on quad toms but that was about it.

With the cadets we shadowed the A core. Did our own touring. There were some vids on youtube from the early 80's (with me in them in the cadets) I'll have to look for them. My brother wanted to move up. My interests had changed. With the cadets I spent a year on cymbals. Bass and triple toms. Fun years. 4 years of marching band. in High school.
