    1928 Hex reciever price check

    Guy wants 400 obo. Worth the trip? The guy is willing to meet about half way. Haven't talked to him yet.

    not a fantastic price, but, not awful either,

    a little low. figure 275 or so for rifle (current market)

    250 for a thousand rounds.

    not a screaming deal, but, I'd do it.

    375 would be better....just saying.

    also, that's provided it doesn't look like it was dragged behind an atv for 6 months.

    And that the bore isn't dark because they didn't know how to clean for corrosive ammo.

    EL Duce do you know how to disassemble the Mosin bolts? That could also be a clue into how much it was fired and if the owner knows the weapon and how to clean it. These rifles do get the corrosive salts blown back even into the bolt. If they don't clean the weapon correctly they don't disassemble the bolts and then they get all rusted and pitted up. You can't see this unless you know how to take the bolt apart.

    showing price of 300 bucks. I would do it. 1000 rounds is about 250 bucks worth of ammo.

    I just looked today and he dropped the price to 300.00. Not that I need another Mosin. But worth looking into.
