Post Nate Silver: 68.3% Chance GOP Retakes the Senate

This from the "statistics nerd" guy who so accurately predicted the outcome of the 2012 elections, weeks in advance: http://fivethirtyeight.com/interacti...nate-forecast/

It would be kind of nice to see Congress unified again, at least, instead of all the partisan gridlock with the Senate ignoring bills coming from the House and vice versa.

Obama wouldn't be able to hide behind Harry Reid any more and may be more willing to consider compromise measures, and actually work with Republicans on some issues for a change instead of just ignoring them as he's mostly been doing so far.

Let the Republicans own everything for a change, and if things don't get better by 2016? Time to clean house.

They won't own everything. They'll still have a communist foreigner pretending to be president in the White House, at least until he's arrested and put where he belongs. BTW you aren't going to get off easy when the R's give the Commie party a trouncing. We all remember how you said it was going to be since we don't agree with criminals getting a free pass.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't at least take the Senate, as the party who doesn't control the White House tends to always score big during second mid-terms.

Most of the swing races are states with low Hispanic populations, so that probably won't be much of a factor this year. And the way the GOP has gerrymandered urban areas since the last census is working in their favor as well.

2016 will be an interesting one to follow though.

    Today's revised numbers:

Republicans have a 73.0% chance of winning a majority.
