    Another long marraige here....

28 years today. It got real rough last year when I contacted an old girlfriend via facebook and we got caught up in old feelings (I broke up with her because I knew I wouldn't be good for her at the time and she deserved much better, nothing she did.) Thankfully there was no real temptation to actually see her since she still lives in PA and me in MN. I felt I needed to get through all the feelings. We did and now are friends with none of the wanting and thinking about what if, but I came close to destroying my marriage, my wife was devastated by what we wrote to each other. But we persevered and believe me it's been better than EVER both sexually and emotionally. We're more connected and loving than any of the other 27 years. Marriage isn't always easy, but if you work at it like anything else with a dedication to preserving it through even the worse times, it can be done.

Congratulations to you both!! My wife and I just celebrated 32 years in July. I'd like another 32 with her if possible.

FB sucks. And they hand everything over to the NSA, so they double-suck.

Yep, marriage can be a rocky road at times, but hey, it wouldn't be no fun if it was easy.

Guess i'm the old timer here, been 36 years, seems like a lot less.

    CONGRATULATIONS !!!

Whoops! My math was wrong. It was 31 years in July not 32. Still a long and pleasurable time together.

Yet another good reason to avoid many of the "social media" programs!

LMAO....Don't worry I'm in the same boat trying to remember exactly how many LOL
Thanks guys very much, it's good to be married to your best friend, someone you can confide anything in. I mentioned this before, It seems to me the people on this site seem to have more long marriages as a percentage than the general population. There's a lot of divorce in my family from my parents to both sisters (one is on her third marriage), my brother is in the process of kicking his third wife to the curb. Very strange I have this overwhelming need to keep my marriage intact. I think I took the vow pretty seriously and probably because my parents divorce hurt me so much for so long it drove me to have this dedication. I don't know what drives my wife LOL considering it's me she's married to LOL...... Thanks again everyone, you're a great bunch of guys. I feel privileged to hangout with you guys.
