    AK 47 bipod question

    I have a Poly Tech Legend in 7.62 and a BWK-92 in.223.

I would like to start off with bipod clamp on both and a bipod to switch back and forth.

If possible ($$$) would consider 2 bipods to start.

Anyone have recommendation of clamp and bipod manufacturer?

Any Pics of clamp/bipod attached to reference placement?

    Thanks

Yes my recommendation is to NOT get any clamp on the barrel bipod. It will seriously frigg with your accuracy. Granted most AK rifles run 3 to 4 MOA, but a Bipod can quickly turn one into a 12 to 24 MOA weapon. Been there, done that, sold it to a sucker fast to get my money back.

Best thing to do would be to get a lower handguard with a rail and mount the bipod to it. As Scheutz said, it is not a good idea to mount a bipod to the barrel which can really monkey with the standard rifle harmonics.

Also clamping one to the barrel of a Legend could really hurt it's resale value if you ever need the money. New in box or not, the Legend is highly collectible and a scratched up barrel would really hurt it's value.
