Illegal tied to stabbing of student

Hey its only one more death from an illegal alien, right?

    MCMINNVILLE, OR (KPTV) -

The district attorney's office in McMinnville says they have positively identified a man accused of stabbing and killing a Linfield College football player as 33-year-old Juventino Bermudez-Arenas, and they're now releasing information about his immigration status.

Police said Bermudez-Arenas stabbed 20-year-old Parker Moore inside a 7-Eleven store on Saturday night. Moore lost consciousness while a 7-Eleven clerk called 911 to get police and paramedics to respond. He was pronounced dead later that night.

Bermudez-Arenas returned to the scene and was shot and killed by police.

In the days since his death, few details have emerged about Bermudez-Arenas' background, but the Yamhill County District Attorney says he was employed at a Christmas tree farm in Dallas at the time he died.

He had little in the way of prior police contact, but was arrested on a minor charge in July of 2000 in McMinnville. At that time, he provided the name of Jonventino Bermudes with a different date of birth.

The DA's office believes Bermudez-Arenas was in the U.S. illegally based on inconsistent Social Security numbers given to his employer, a lack of official U.S. paperwork and information provided by his family.

Generally, immigration officials do not have any contact with a person who enters the U.S. illegally unless that person comes into contact with law enforcement, who then makes immigration aware of that contact. It wasn't immediately clear whether the arresting agency in July 2000 made immigration officials aware of Bermudez-Arenas' arrest. No mug shot was available in Bermudez-Arenas' case, and it does not appear he was booked into jail for the minor crime for which he was accused.

Investigators are still trying to gather more background on Bermudez-Arenas, and anyone with information about him is asked to contact the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.

Just committing the crimes Americans are too lazy to commit.

This is why I have such a low opinion of the MSM. If the guy was here illegally he was specifically preventing contact with Immigration officials. Isn't Oregon one of those places where law enforcement will not contact the evil ICE officials when they arrest an illegal immigrant for fear that they will be deported?

This also shows why children born to illegal immigrant parents should not be granted citizenship under the 14th Amendment and why that Amendment should be repealed. It was necessary after the Civil War to allow African-American slaves that had been freed to become citizens, it is no longer relevant except to cheapen what it means to be an American Citizen.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

The only good news from this post is that the perp was killed. At least the US taxpayers won't have to provide a public defender and then free room and board for 40 years.

“[T]here’s no denying that many blacks share the same anxieties as many whites about the wave of illegal immigration flooding our Southern border—a sense that what’s happening now is fundamentally different from what has gone on before. Not all these fears are irrational. The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century. If this huge influx of mostly low-skill workers provides some benefits to the economy as a whole—especially by keeping our workforce young, in contrast to an increasingly geriatric Europe and Japan—it also threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net.”

Sheriffs: Obama Amnesty Is ‘Destruction of Our Democracy,’ ‘Gaping Hole’ for Terrorists
Sheriffs from Maryland to Massachusetts warned of the extreme danger of Pres. Obama’s plan to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in the U.S.

Speaking out on Monday, they said amnesty would spell the beginning of the end of democracy in America and would embolden both terrorists and violent criminals.

"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
