    Weird?

It's cold, but we aren't expecting Sharknados or anything...

...although I hear there is a chance of sporadic looting later in the week..

Oddly, I don't like big screens, or HDTV...it makes everything look weird and fake.

However, I've never stolen so much as a candy bar in my life and don't intend to start now...so that's moot either way.

I do have a mild urge to show up with some sort of sign that has nothing to do with the topic, maybe some obscure bible quote (OT only)...I dunno, just for kicks.

Very cold, very cold. But it is supposed to warm up tomorrow!

Kad, on this we agree. I don't like HDTVs and see no reason for a big screen. The HDTVs really look fake, don't like them at all.

64 degrees with a slight south wind making it a 64 degrees windchill, humidity 50%. Opened the windows in the house when I got home from work to air out the house.

Today's high 58 F, tonight's low 33 F. This a vast improvement over the last 2 days when it didn't get past 48 in the day and 24 at night.

A couple fo days ago, in Eastern MD, it was 17 degrees out. Today, it got up to low 30's. Monday, it's supposed to go up to 68 or 70, then drop back down to mid-40's or 50's the rest of the week.

Eh, not bad, think I will probably avoid anything with the term "slave" in it.

Lev. 19:18 could work (Don't seek revenge)

Lev. 19:28 might be fun (No tattoos)

Lev. 18:17 could have some folks scratching their heads (don't have sex with a woman and her son's daughter)

If you believe in near instant karma then Exodus 20:15 would be pretty on the nose....

No, I picked up a smartphone about six months ago, I've been cell only for about 8 years now.

    I actually don't own a TV

But I liked the old fat ones better, had a warm look, the picture was plenty good and you didn't have to look at it straight on to see just fine. I don't want to see peoples pores on the news. Nor do I want better old shows to look like really fake sets. I sat through an older episode of Eureka on a new giant flat HDTV recently and hated it, the set looked so fake, it was too easy to see when they used a green screen. It really ruined the experience of "getting in it"

Whats the point of a sharper picture if it becomes painfully obvious it's not "real"?

I get for some people it's probably like preferring vinyl to digital. I don't think digital reduces the experience when it comes to music, I think it enhances it. Hearing the definition better is good, but to me HDTV it's like miking an instrument incorrectly for digital. It's great to hear clearly, but I don't want to hear fret buzz, bow scraping, or the click of fingernails on strings or keys.

has always been a favorite of mine. I remember busting up laughing because I can't fathom any BIRD that walks on all fours (remember that in previous verses the bible distinguishes that they know what Bats and Flying Squirrels are already so they're not talking about those). So what kind of Bird walks on four legs AND flies? Yeesh. I'd think it was an abomination too! LOL

I guess you grew up with the King James or something derived from it. The correct translation isn't "bird" or "fowl", it's "creature with wings". The "walks on all fours" is poetic license meaning it doesn't walk upright.

    It's talking about insects.
