True. Obviously traffic delays are a part of life. But I'm not ok with this shutting down highways stuff. Thinking on it, a huge area got a bit cut off from several major hospitals when 44 was shut down last night.

I can get shutting down a couple streets, but they need to reroute traffic so people don't get swarmed.

A number of places on Grand shut down early tonight so their employees could get out of the area without getting stuck in the neighborhood with blocked off streets.

I'm kinda wondering if that's what happened. It's all quiet most of the day, then crowds gather, somebody leaving work goes their normal route sees it full of people and either panics or gets angry/annoyed and tries to muscle through.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize stopping traffic was a form of freedom of speech.

Seems the guy driving has just as much right to not have his travel interrupted......

I don't find it very funny either.
What would you do? Stop and wait for them to get out of the way?

Shit happens. Often times protests go mobile. All you can do if you're a driver is wait them out, let them move on, or back up and take another route if you're impatient.

First rule of driver's ed: vehicles are supposed to yield to pedestrians. That doesn't change just because someone disagrees with their message.

I would love to see you talk your bullshit if you were in that situation...

Your forward and backward path is blocked by angry chimps looking for some white dude to vent their anger on and you would "yield to pedestrians".

Why do you even waste internet bandwidth writing bullshit like this? You know and we know that you would not stop and "yield" to the "pedestrians".

I found this tweet quite telling:

Witnesses say the car, a teal station wagon, started honking at protesters blocking the intersection, before running down down a woman.

    It takes two to tango.

You probably think they should have gotten permits before marching as well.

Uh, yes. What else do you do if people are in the street normally?

If the crowd was messing with the car, trying to open doors, rock it, etc...then yeah do what you got to.

But if the street is blocked, no you don't just hit people with your car to get through

You are confusing "protesters" with "looters, arsonists, rioters, and criminals." Protesters usually protest an event or situation in a more, or less, orderly manner, leaving, usually, nothing more than some trash on the streets when the protest is over. They, usually, gather around a certain area and listen to speakers, from already assembled stages, who agree with their views (or even play music) for entertainment. A protester, usually, follows a certain time line that corresponds to scheduled events.

Looters, rioters, arsonists, and criminals, usually, just mill around and break windows, steal stuff, trash and burn property and, sometimes, hurt and kill people.

The Ferguson criminals are not protesting anything. They're out to cause mayhem, steal stuff, and burn shit to the ground. I haven't seen one individual, in the videos or live feeds, I've been watching that showed one "protester." All I've seen is one lawless crowd after another just milling around, waiting for dark so they can cause as much damage as possible

Part of your "liberal mental illness" has to do with your definitions. No wonder you're all screwed up in the head. Your definitions make you see things from the wrong perspective.

"Protesters" would have; "criminals" wouldn't bother.

I blocked the socialist, worthless, evil shits, so I had to look the vid up on youtube to have myself a good laugh. Want to act like a dumbass? Get run over. I did, in fact, laugh. These dumb shits wearing shirts that say 'I am (St.) Michael Brown'....Ha, the irony, as they wear those shirts while they break laws and hurt people. DAMNED RIGHT you bastards are St. Michael Brown. And THATS why he stopped bullets, and thats also why THESE WORTHLESS PIECES OF SHIT will also doubtless stop bullets too. Or cars....

    Hahahahahahahaa......
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

I laughed. Last time I checked, streets are for cars and sidewalks are for pedestrians. Those asshats definitely weren't using the crosswalk, either. Now, if the car was driving through a crowd on the sidewalk, then the driver would be the asshat. But only slightly more of an asshat than those anti-self-defense sheep...

No, even with a permit it isn't OK to interfere with the travel of innocent people just trying to live their lives.

You know what? You're right. I stand corrected.

Clearly, what we need here are FREE SPEECH ZONES! Fuck this chaotic lawlessness and anarchy, these uppity black people trying to make their voices heard...

These people need to KNOW THEIR PLACE and only protest in government-sanctioned areas, preferably well away from where anyone might actually see them and hear their message.

LAW AND ORDER is much more important than random dissidence. Because who knows where the latter could lead...

This is how one dominates a road block like a boss:

That guy who blogged about the Argentina shtf said the only way to not get raped/robbed/murdered when the criminals blocked the streets like in the vid was to ram them because if you stopped you were dead meat. A lot of the good guys put bull bars on their vehicles for that purpose.
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
