    are these mags russian

    they are listed at gb as german. I am not sure but I don't think Germany made ak mags.
    I am thinking that they are early izhmash spine stamped mags. is this a good price?

    He likely had ID'd them correctly. I'd have to check proof marks to be sure...
    We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

    Oh yes East Germany made shit tons of AK mags. I've owned and sold hundreds of them.

    http://www.sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=419 according to this site there were mags that did not have the star. first pic in the article is called early Russian and the next mag shows the triangle below the raised rib.
    guess they could be the same, how would you tell the difference?

    see that is what I am looking for, is a way to distinguish the two mags.
    I cannot seem to find literature or a chart that shows the mags close enough to tell them apart.
