Started having problems recently with my PC.
I have Internet 11.
Suddenly, when I try to open a web site off the Favorites menu I may get "The Target of This Internet Shortcut Is Not Valid".
I've done some reading on the Microsoft site and all that's mentioned is this problem in internet 7, not 11.
Any ideas??
(NO I'm not able to switch to a different browser).
Anything changed lately such as updates from ms?
Run an av scan?

Assuming you are talking about MS Internet Explorer 11, I have had similar issues. I run it specifically for their gaming and nothing else, and many times when I click on a favorite the address has magically changed. At least you get a message, I get nothing but have learned that if I click on a link and get nothing, I have to manually find the site, and then resave is as a favorite, and delete the old link.
Go to the website by either typing it in or from a search engine, and then resave the addy as a favorite. It should work until Microsoft updates again.
That's what I've been doing.
Point is, this is not new.
Apparently it's been a problem since Internet Explorer 9, at least. At least that's what my Microsoft web site search turned up.
Nothing like a timely fix for an issue.
