This evening, at 6:03 p.m. EST, we will reach our Winter Solstice (in Northern Hemisphere) and our Earth's orbit will be at its closest point to the Sun.
This is a time for rejoicing and partying and letting it all hang out (heathens and pagans, particularly).
So, build a huge bonfire and set some deer meat on a spit and gather a bunch of scantily clad young virgins and a keg of beer and dance until you drop, while screaming and gyrating wildly around the fire.
Or just sit back and watch some TV....
Whatever activity you choose to participate in, Merry Solstice to you!
