This month's "not really" from Gunbroker.

Granted not everyone knows even a little about AKs and their zillion variations, but...

Meh, there were always some frankenstein post ban guns that got in. Single stack AKs were not common (nor desirable). But they were around. A lot of them had their mag well openings enlarged (by qualified gunsmiths or well intentioned Bubbas) to take the standard high caps, after 2004.

Then you are not looking close enough, like the European rivet pattern, the lack of dimples, the serial number (hint - wasr)

It is a Romanian WASR 10 before being milled out to take a normal double stack magazine. They didn't sell all that many of them before they figured out you could alter them and get away with it.

single stack and double stack wasr's were sold simultaneously for years, the one in the auction is pretty damn early for a rommy, the converted wasr's then were considered second rate because you could still get sars

Good to see it a little more lively here and I like these kinds of threads but ....
I've always kind of thought the banner could use a little correcting

I can see just fine thank you

Both Schuetzenman and raxar pretty much said what I would have said in response Nothing to see here. We had those single Stack WASRs for sale here in Commiefornia before the last ban.

Though THANKS for tracking it down and posting it here. It's fun to see those AK variants on Gunbroker.

Funny, what I was pointing out was the guy was selling it as a Norinco MAK-90, but what do I know.

LOL Sorry. Like many here, it seems that we know AKs better than the dudes who are selling them on Gunbroker. I didn't even LOOK at the MAK90 description. I glanced and figured MAK90 was a generic description. And like the guys here, I immediately zeroed in on the configuration visually. I didn't even notice that he actually describes the gun as an actual MAK90! What a douche!

One of the main reason I like to point out these items on Gunbroker. Keeps us on our toes and a good lesson for those who are new to the sport to really watch what you are buying.

Recon does a nice job of pointing out great sale items, so I like to point out the "buyer beware" stuff.

That's great and as I said I like finding stuff out like that
It's not a huge deal, but if we're talking accuracy I just see a little flaw in the banner.
Plus an AK just needs a cleaning rod under the barrel
