    pope killers

The man who tried to kill former Pope John Paul II 33 years ago showed up at the Vatican on Saturday to put white roses on his tomb and said he wanted to meet Pope Francis.

No, from what I've read of him, I think he's honestly drunk the Kool-Aid and taken Pope John Paul's forgiveness to heart.

I'm sure Pope Francis will kiss his head and bless him in due time.

You know the slamics want to take out the pope, right? As in a listed goal of isis and the rest of them. Well, to be fair they want to kill anyone who isn't slamic but whatever.

They might actually do the Western world a favor if they remove this communist pope.

People can change. Granted most violent people don't and I'm not okay with releasing cold blooded murderers and attempted murderers. The odds are what they are slim to none on rehabilitating violent people. Murderers should die in the same manner they killed their victims IMO.

I'm still waiting for the rise of the Imam killers...

Sadly you have a long wait. They spout their killer cult edicts with impunity even in the US. You and me are the terrorists according to this gov't.

This pope really is something, isn't he? At first I thought he was just a populist rabble-rouser, playing up to his Latin American base.

But with the news just a few weeks ago that he's looking at reforming the actual Curia -- the governing body of the church itself -- I'm really beginning to believe he's out to fundamentally change the Church from the inside out.

Everything he's come out and said is straight up Biblical though, as far as I can tell. Jesus did say "the meek shall inherit the earth" and "its easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven" -- you know, those inconvenient verses that Protestant right-wingers like to ignore because it pretty much goes against everything capitalism stands for.

Like so much else in the holy scriptures, you can pretty much cherry-pick any ideology you want out of it: conservative, liberal, socialist, whatever -- just cherry-pick here and there, and ignore the rest.

This pope seems to be marxist rather than christian, but be that as it may isis doesn't care about that, they care about lopping off the figurehead of millions of catholics around the world. Jihadsters think if they wack the pope that "christianity" will collapse. Lol. rather than collapse it just may stir up a hornets nest in old mohammads turban. Also, this failed pope killer is apparently Turkish, and isis is funded and armed via Turkey and Erdogan, as Erdogan views himself as the new Ottoman caliph. Also, messiah Yahshuah worked for a living - he wasn't a marxist, he was a carpenter. He was also a doctor, healing the blind, lame, sick, and demon posessed. He also raised the dead. And paid our way into heaven.

That is why you have to read it in context to understand it, as well as understanding how it relates to the entire Bible. From what you have posted you have a very specific idea of what you think is in the Bible but very little knowledge of what is actually there. For example, there is no prohibition against wealth, Abraham, Job, Daniel, David, Joseph of Arimethia, and the un-named patrons that supported Jesus and the Apostles, to name a few, were very wealthy, and very powerful. There is a prohibition against selfishness, but that does not prevent people from being wealthy. This means that what you quote out of context (cherry picked as you like to accuse those who disagree with you of) must be teaching something else.
