    Um, really?

I dunno, perhaps the center one, with the big thighs, just pin her knees next to her ears. Usually works. Or so I've been told.

    Where I went this afternoon:

I had gotten in free for Rand Paul, so I just walked my ass through the Vietnam Forward Outpost replica and the USS Yorktown Museum Ship.

Then I did my Rusty Shackleford impression.

Earlier this week the current Chaplain of the ship, who had been in charge of targeting the guns in WW2 if I'm not mistaken, gave a presentation in one of my history classes at the College, and I took this picture of a piece of the Hull that he was rewarded for his long service on the ship, which has been for most of the Ship's service starting in spring 1943. This ship patrolled Tokyo harbor with its guns ready on the day they signed they signed the surrender documents.

    Yep.

I was impressed by his promise to end the spying on US citizens the day he is sworn into office. He hammered on the domestic spying quite a bit.

I'm behind the literal giant wearing the blue shirt in the bottom left hand side. You can barely see my checkered shirt under his chin.

Do you have any idea what kind of cannon that is in the foreground of the Yorktown photo? You think it is a black powder cannon? That thing is hefty.

I didn't read anything about them, and I'm not an artillery guy, but it appeared to be muzzle loaded and to have a welded shut hole where the ignition device would go. I would figure it to be a rifled artillery piece from sometime between the civil war and the turn of the century. But like I said, I'm no artillery guy.

Our city has decorative cannons all over the place from a variety of time periods, including two of the remaining five Revolutionary War canons housed at the Charleston Museum.

At first I was like, hmm...Then I was reminded of the Cheerleader Effect described by Barney Stinson as follows:

The cheerleader effect is where a group of girls looks attractive as a group BUT if you take each member of that group individually they are in fact, on the contrary, unattractive. This cheerleader effect dates back to ancient Broman times where Barnibus Stinson made this significant discovery and documented it in the ancient 'Bro Code'. From this, the Cheerleader effect has evolved and although many interpretations of it has inevitably taken place, the definition still stands as it is today. Of course men and women nowadays both have different perceptions of what is attractive and what attracts them personally, but the most important thing is that a girl or guy almost always looks more attractive in a group.

    Interesting. Didn't know that.

(edit to add): Kinda validates my theory that the cafe is innocently meant to just have a "WW-II theme" rather than being a pro-Nazi display.
