How do you like them vs other pistols?

The one my son got is nice, but the trigger pull seems really much harder than it should be (probably double that of a Beretta M9 or an M1911) (maybe not broken in yet?)

It's also hard to tell when it will fire. The trigger feels like a plastic stick bending and finally it goes bang.

The trigger safety (kinda like a Glock) worried me, but thankfully it's also got a grip safety so it will be less likely to ND.

I assumed that since it's fired by a striker, the striker would be cocked already and therefore need only a light trigger pull.

It s this typical of the XDS?

I've never fired any polymer framed striker-fired handgun that had a trigger comparable to steel framed SA or SA/DA pistol.

My trigger isn't bad after shooting it some. I know exactly where it breaks and can shoot it as accurately as any other gun.

My father loves the M&P series and I have to say, those have the bending plastic stick feel even more. The full size XD pistols have a different trigger system and don't feel the same as the XDs.

To be fair, that's kinda cool. I've actually imagined having some sort of "pee tube" when I'm stuck in traffic on a dark rainy night and I have to relieve myself really bad and it's another 20 minutes to a turn off......

My very first car was a 1970 Plymouth Duster. The floor had rusted out holes and (this is the honest truth!) I took a length of 1 inch ID vinyl tubing and ran it through a rust hole and tie-wrapped in under the car with the end facing rearward.

It extended almost to the bumper, but not quite. When driving, the air slipstream created a slight vacuum so that when I needed to piss, I would grab the tube and whiz into it. The vacuum pulled the piss away as fast as I produced it, so there was never any danger of "spillage".

Only one problem... the trunk had rust holes as well and it didn't take long for some of the pee to end up in the trunk, where it ripened.......

Ugh... thinking about it now... I was one disgusting slob.
