Time to get a another dog

Our last dog died about 6 months ago ( she was 14) and we have a chance to get a German Shepard (bitch) husky (sire) mix. I've seen the mother and she's a nice black and tan, mostly black. Don't know much about the father, except he's a little over 100 lbs, both are AKC registered.

What do you guys think of this breed mix?

The litter was not planned, the lady who owns the bitch let her outside while she was in heat and the neighbors husky jumped a 6' fence and nailed her....gotta admire that kind of determination

Probably smart as hell. Seems like the mutts are always brighter than the pure ones, too much inbreeding.

That's what we're hoping for. In spite of how much my wife says she hates to sweep up dog hair, she really misses our old "hair ball".

Before her neurologist figured out the right combination of seizure meds, our old dog had learned to sense when she was going to have a seizure and alert us before she fell and hit her head. Saved her from serious injury several times

I'd say go for it. I admire the german shepherd dogs but am afraid of the health problems that they have. This should be less prevalent with a mix. my guess is it will be a great dog.

An all white German Shepherd was the best listening dog I ever had.

I do not see a problem. they are both smart breeds and play well with humans.

I am constantly being told to be quiet.

I foresee no problems either. Both are great breeds.
Here's to pussy and gunpowder. One to live for, the other to die by.....Goddamn though, I do love the smell of 'em both !!!
