Dumbass attacks 62 yr old CCW holder in Wally world yelling "HE HAS A GUN"

RIVERVIEW (FOX 13) -

Hillsborough deputies arrested a man who spotted someone with a gun, followed him into a Walmart, and tackled him. The problem? The man with the gun had a concealed weapons permit, and the man who rushed him didn't call 911 or alert store security.

According to the sheriff's office, Michael Foster, 43, saw Clarence Daniels, 62, in the Walmart parking lot with a gun holstered under his coat.

Foster followed Daniels into the store, put him in a choke-hold and brought him to the ground, the sheriff's office said. He then started yelling that Daniels had a gun.

A struggle ensued, with Daniels yelling that he had a permit. Security detained both men until deputies arrived.

They confirmed Daniels had a permit for the gun, and arrested Foster.

He is charged with one count of battery.

What a dumbass. He's lucky he was arrested and not shot during the assault. Carrying guns is a legal activity in this country.

FYI, the antis are calling on one another to report CCW holders as suspicious armed criminals in hopes of inciting a police shooting. They call this "SWATing" someone.

They should be arrested and charged with attempted murder.

And if it can be proven it was premeditated, it should be first degree murder with the possibility of the death penalty should the law abiding citizen be killed.

Absolutely. Criminals that participate in actions that result in death are routinely charged with murder even if they didn't pull the trigger, or it was one of their friends/partners in crime.

Has there been any info released yet on who, and what motivated, this nitwit that attacked the old guy? So far we've get his name and mug shot, and I think I read somewhere that he's from NY. Other than that, we don't know jack about this guy.

Well I just saw the Walmart security video of the fool that tackled the CCW holder. Mr. Vigilante was a gray haired white guy, the CCW holder was a black man. Still haven't heard why he thought tackling a guy he know is armed was his preferred choice of action. If he thought there was a problem he should of dialed 911 and let the cops sort it out. As has been stated he's lucky the CCW holder didn't shoot him.

The 42 year old white attacker watched the 62 year old black man holster his gun when he exited his car. He then followed the black man into the store in vigilante mode and attacked him from behind without warning. The white guy was younger, bigger, had the element of total surprise -- and I believe he may have had some (albeit very limited) grappling knowledge as on the video it looked like after taking the black man down from behind he first attempted (without success) a guillotine choke. Not sure what the lesson learned from this incident is for me other than expect the unexpected.
