Apparently No Federal Charges Against Officer In Brown Shooting

WASHINGTON — Justice Department lawyers will recommend that no civil rights charges be brought against the police officer who fatally shot an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Mo., after an F.B.I. investigation found no evidence to support charges, law enforcement officials said Wednesday.

The Justice Department was not able to make a racial case out of this and could not find evidence that the police officer had acted improperly. However, still with no evidence the DOJ is investigating the Ferguson PD, just in case, I mean they need a win somewhere.

Speaking of the DOJ, they still have an open investigation against George Zimmerman (http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/...cca_story.html) even though that investigation has not turned up any evidence of wrong doing either. In Zimmerman's case I believe the government is holding some of his property (like his pistol) as evidence over 2 years after the event.

Both of these cases seem to be the government being used in a political way to try to appease a certain group of voters (or possible voters). That does not seem right to me, and it definitely seems outside the Constitutional bounds of what the DOJ should be doing.

This government seems more political than any I can remember. I don't think it is even proper for the president to comment on events like the travon or brown shooting.

There is supposed to be an air of dignity surrounding the presidency and this has been sucked out by the turd in the white house.

If you think back President Carter was accused of the same thing, lessening the presidency, taking away its dignity. One of the things that people don't remember is that President Reagan brought that dignity back, both in words and deeds.

I heard a spokesman for the NAACP commenting no this on the radio earlier today. He said something close to "we are disappointed that by the decision of the Justice Department. We were hoping someone would be held accountable for this shooting." My response is, someone has been held responsible for the killing, you just don't want to acknowledge it because of the race of the people involved. Meaning, you are a racist.
