    ZQ1 .308 @ wall mart.

Local wall mart had a close out on it. 9.00 a box of 20 rounds. Regular price 17.00 (plus or minus change on both ends.) I ended up getting 11 boxes for a little over 110.00. Right at .50 a round. I did buy all that they had. Missed a case by an hour.

that sucks, but is good to know. I have shot a bit of the 5.56mm ZQ1 and it seems fine.

Might be awhile before I shoot it. Got it on a whim, and don't shoot the .308 rifles that much.

I also burned through about 90 rounds of ZQI 55 grain 5.56 and a few hundred rounds of their 9mm Luger without issue. I'm hoping that guy shooting the 7.62 NATO stuff just got a bad batch.

    OR...

my only other conclusion was, at one point in time his M1a was rebarreled and the chamber was left a little short.

Shot around 200 rounds of it through my 1919a4 and a M1 in .308. Fed and functioned just fine. We were able to hit targets (steel) 100 yards plus. This is the cheapest that I have seen brass cased .308 in awhile. So, going to get some more next trip to wall mart.

Plus it has been coming in at a steady pace. I am pretty set with everything else at the moment. Could use some 30-06. But I don't shoot the Garands that often. I will be picking up a case or two of the .308.

I just happened upon the same situation myself, just slightly different price than yours. At a super Wal-Mart (different town than where I live) we go to for groceries had the stuff on clearance for $9.97/box......and I got 10 boxes. And as a bonus there were at least 15+ boxes left on the shelf, that I will hopefully be able to buy in the near future, lol. The local Wal-mart in my town (not a super) still has it priced at $15/bx, so needless to say I was feeling a little proud of myself.

Hmmm, I bet my Saiga would love this... I was thinking of getting another case of .308 - I'm a little soft on that caliber. By our standards anyway lol.
