Dan Patrick betrays Open Carry Supporters.

Patrick Says ‘Open Carry’ Not Top Priority

AUSTIN (AP) - After pledging in his campaign to fight for open carry of handguns in Texas, Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick now says it’s not a priority and doesn’t have the votes to pass.

Sounds like he was just buying votes prior to getting elected...normal operating procedure for most elected officials...Say one thing and do another...

Must be a "Texas thing" because George Bush the First also used firearms to get elected, and then after getting elected to President stabbed fun owners in the back. He joined the NRA to look proper, then promptly quit his lifetime membership and gave us that wonderful 1989 import restriction.

Why do people think Texas has the best firearm laws? Every time I compare them to my home state, Texas is way behind.

    Just another lying politician.

If only Texas were as free as Texans think it is.

^Still free-er than Washington, California, New York, New Jersey, and Connetticut... But that's not saying much.

Color me not surprised by this d-bag though. Just another crook in a suit.
