    Chiappa M1-9 mm.

Anyone know anything about these carbines? Saw one today, at a local dealer's, and fondled it for a while. It's, pretty much, like the original, but it is chambered for 9 mm. and takes Baretta hi-cap mags. The fit and finish looked great. It was selling for around $560.

    It has my interest up...

Interesting. Wonder why they didn't go with Glock mags? Wish Ruger would bring back their Camp Carbine but offer it in more than just a Ruger mag set up.

    Interesting rifle!

Glad they decided on Beretta mags as I have nearly a zillion of them, but only 3 Glock mags. (Sorry Richard, I just had to say that. )

Edited: The rifle is made in Italy which probably explains the Beretta mags.

Oh, I've got Beretta mags so it would make a nice companion piece for my 92FS. I just have more and larger capacity Glock mags. Wish they'd do like KelTec and offer, Glock, Beretta and S&W mag wells.

I have zero Beretta magazines, not using Glock mags is an epic fail for me. Wouldn't get it due to the deviant magazine type. Don't need yet another set of magazines to; purchase and keep track of.

They could have made proprietary mags and then we couldn't argue, could we?

Nah, I'd still be complaining that they made proprietary magazines instead of using mainstream ubiquitous Glock 19 / 17 magazines.

Beretta mags aren't that bad of a choice. Much better than proprietary at least.

And I think with Beretta mags, you can actually make a lot of different mags fit by cutting the little mag catch into the right spot with a dremel.

Just picked up one of these today. I got the black, synthetic stock instead of the wooden stock.

It comes with 2 10-rnd. mags. but the dealer threw in a 20 rnd. and a 30 rnd. mag with it, also. So, I got the everything for $499 OTD.

I'll have more info (and, hopefully, photos) after Sunday's shooting match. Itorlo64, my chiropractor, and I are going out and throw some lead downrange and at some clay birds, this Sunday.

Finished making another target stand this afternoon, too.

Cool. I am bringing my M1 Carbine as well so we can compare a 1943 Carbine to a new 9mm carbine. Should be fun! (I put camera on my packing list this time!)

Looking forward to hearing more about this carbine. Since I have many Beretta mags, this would be nice to add to my CX-4 Storm Carbine!

I like the looks of it. But, I wouldn't want to get one, and then have to start another magazine collection. I am interested in how it will shoot.

Hoping you've had it to range by now any report? I've picked up a couple of 30rd factory mags for my 92FS and rethinking getting one of these.

It functioned flawlessly. Didn't really try to zero it in as we didn't have that much time. It was more of a "shoot 'em for the hell of it" kind of day.

Very satisfied with it all the way around.
