having a problem getting the fcg

out of my sks. I cannot seem to get the latch to release.
I have hit it harder than I wish and it doesn't seem to move.
any ideas or do I get out the 2 lb hammer and a railroad spike?

    safety switch forward?

some of these require very heavy pressure to get it out.

dont mess with anything, balance the gun on something where it's all stable. wrap the stock in a towel so it dont take a ding.

safety forward, smack that detent with a 2lb hammer+ appropriate punch.

Remember this was a peasant/conscript gun not made to be completely taken apart so easily .

UNLESS you have to , dont mess with it.

got cha. glad it really never has to be taken down that far in the field.
    wasn't a 2 lb hammer but close.
