This reminds me of a story that was told to me about the communist in the early 20s ,they formed a anti communist organization called The Trust and folks donated money to it thinking that they were fighting communism but in reality all they were doing was funding communist spy operations .
Oh, we still have plenty of that going on today. Just start asking around about wanting to join a militia group with the intention of eventually waging a revolution against the U.S. government to "restore the constitution."
You'll have multiple undercover FBI and DHS folks contacting you within a week, all claiming to be from promising militia front groups -- hell, they'll even offer to provide you bomb-making materials!
Plenty of wannabe militia members rotting away in various federal prisons throughout this country right now.

What was the "gun rights organization" that was started by the GCCs (gun control cultists) to give anti-gun politicians cover? They actually succeeded in getting some folks to believe them - for a while.
