Now school me on the Thompson

What I want to know is will the 1928 SMG lower frame fit on to an original West Hurley NY (NOT KHAR ARMS (WORCHESTER MASS)) 1928 Semi auto?

I'm not trying to convert anything. Also can you take the SMG lower and convert it to a semi?

I can't seem to find any photo comparisons.

yes, you can convert a original lower to Semi. only real requirement is welding up the F/A selector hole, usually just buy a selector and cut it in half and weld it from the inside so it looks decent.

The lower is what will need modified to fit the receiver . It's a little work but doable in about 20 minutes with a dremel , + a 1/8" x 1/4" slot will need milled in the top of the rear .

With the Tax refund this year I'd like to buy a new gun. Something that I have been wanting to have in a long time to add to the collection.
It will either be an Vector UZI or an original (not Khar Arms) 1928 A1 delux type. I am having trouble finding one on gunbroker wit a detachable stock.
So I wanted to buy an SMG lower and slide that on. You said to plug up the selector but I have found in the past a company that takes that hole and switch and turns it into a bolt hold open lever for cleaning or whatever. So you still have the look.

I'm not trying to keep it original, but I want it nice.

IMHO. to save work I'd look for an older A5 deluxe Pistol and SBR that.

    that's what I did + another $100 for the 28 lower + $130 for a nice stock.

I don't really need the SBR, though I am no novice to going that route.

Talk to me buddy. IM me if you want.

What did you do to make the lower fit the receiver and also be semi auto.
