Go to Gunbroker and type in M855. You will either laugh, cry, or laugh and cry at the same time.

Good thing I have a crap load of components. Maybe I should load them, paint them and then retire.

The way prices of ammo is going, I might just keep my firearms as museum pieces, save one or two for obvious reasons, and use my ammo to buy a Ferrari or some really exotic car.

Of course when I bought the ammo I was complaining that 5.56x45 had jumped from $140 a case (1000 rds) to $160 per case! Won't even talk about the .22LR that I bought over 10 years ago back when my daughter and I would go through a case of that in a month and a half!

Sad that our government has found that you can violate the constitution with import laws and "safety" bans and get away with it.

Newer shooters look at my in awe when I tell them I used to buy 1000 rounds of just about anything for around $100 just a decade ago. They get really surprised when I tell them that 1000 rounds of .22 was $15. It's depressing.

Depressing is remembering when you used to go into your local sporting goods store and buy a case of .22LR (ten bricks/5000 rounds for those who don't remember) for $6 per brick and the store would give you a 10% discount for purchasing 10 or more bricks.
