Cheap/bulk 7.62x39 selling out... Ripple effect from 5.56 scare or did I miss something?

WTF? I start dusting off the AKs to preserve my 5.56mm ammo supply and all of a sudden I see cheap x39 is selling out everywhere. A fellow can't win. This must be a ripple effect from the run on 5.56 right now. I'm not hurting for ammo, but I hate using up my supply without the ability to easily replace it.

The plan is to choke off ammo supplies since they can't ban the weapons IMO. Then there's a little part of me that hopes folks buying up all this ammo will finally put it to use and take back the country and set to what it was outlined to be in the Constitution.

then they (govt) get their neighbors to turn them in as "domestic terrorists" and confiscate it all, taking it out of circulation. the stockpiling only makes that easier for them.

20 years ago stockpiling ammo was seen by a lot of people as something only survivalists/extremists did, especially by the hunting crowd. A lot of people would only have a few boxes per rifle, a couple hundred rounds was considered more than enough. Now I can't tell you how many new gun owners I have talked to who won't blink at the thought of buying a case or two and stashing it. If asked the answer will be along the lines of you never know when you are going to need it or how long you'll be able to get it.

Decades of gun control has brought gun owners together IMHO. In the 90's the SAA/Cowboy and bolt action crowd looked down on semi-autos and a lot of them didn't see a use for them, now they are buying AR's.

I think the article from Zumbo also had an affect on this.
because the so called fudds did not realize this is the way
they saw it and that also opened quite a few eyes.

I believe the x39 stuff is coming off the shelf because of the AK pistol. the logic
bears itself out with this criminal administration

I think it's more a case of "if you have a gun that can shoot it, buy it while you can; you never know how available it will be in the future."
