    HK VP9?

Anybody got one? I just picked one up. A decent deal fell into my lap. I was a bit intrigued by it after reading some reviews, but wasn't really shopping for one.
    Feels great in the hand.

Well it looks nice. First I've heard of them, I'm not one to follow HK weapons.

I think you'll be very happy. I got to get a hand on one last year at a Vickers class. Felt good in my hand too and has a great trigger. My dad got one for his wife (step-mom) and she loves it. I think you'll be very happy.

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them. ... Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever."--Thomas Jefferson

Right now the mags are silly expensive. I guess we are waiting for a shipment from Germany, everybody is sold out and secondary market is way overpriced.

I've been motivated to get an HK pistol for a couple of years now. I don't think I've seen a negative review of the VP9 yet. The biggest complaint most folks have is the magazine capacity (15 instead of 17) and the cost. Though from what I understand the cost is high but the mags are really well built and should last a good long time (so theoretically if you are just a casual shooter you can get by on not buying more than what came with your gun). But HK mags will always be expensive. They had a great sale at the HK store for Christmas and nearly got a few but I couldn't rationalize mags for a gun I didn't yet own.

If the gun continues to be as popular as it is I wouldn't be surprised to see aftermarket mags available for a more reasonable price.

I still want a HK USP .45 tactical more though.
