    Kudos to Ruger

    Last week I decided I wanted a duplicate (spare part) gas regulator detent for my SR556 rifle. I called Ruger and they said they would send me one for free. Got it in the mail yesterday. After many years of owning and shooting Ruger firearms this was the only time I have contacted their customer service number and it was a very positive experience with no wait time to get someone on the phone.

    depending on what part you want. ruger likes to have a lot of "special" parts that they will not sell you. like an extractor on a p-series pistol for example. i tried to buy a spare, but ruger will not sell them. i wold have had to send them my slide, and have them install a new extractor then pay to also have it shipped back.
