US government asks for end to hold on immigration action
HOUSTON (AP) — The U.S. government on Thursday asked an appeals court to lift a temporary hold on President Barack Obama's executive action to shield millions of immigrants from deportation, arguing it can't wait for the judge who blocked the action to make a ruling on a similar request.
Justice Department attorneys filed an emergency motion with the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans to lift a preliminary injunction issued last month by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Brownsville, Texas.
The injunction had been issued on the request of a coalition of 26 states that filed a lawsuit to overturn Obama's immigration plan. The states, led by Texas, argue that Obama's action was unconstitutional and would force them to invest more in law enforcement, health care and education.

15 immigrants protected from deportation arrested in sweep
WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal agents in a sweep targeting the most dangerous criminal immigrants arrested 15 people who have been allowed to remain in the U.S. under President Barack Obama's executive action intended to protect children who came to the U.S. years ago with their parents, The Associated Press has learned.
Fourteen of the 15 had been convicted of a crime, the Homeland Security Department confirmed late Thursday. In at least one case, the Obama administration renewed the protective status for a young immigrant after that person's conviction in a drug case, a U.S. official briefed on the arrests said.

Constitution Check: Could senators be prosecuted for trying to deal directly with Iran’s leaders?
“The letter by 47 Senators and members of Congress trying to undermine negotiations between Iran, the United States [and others] is a pretty clear violation of the Logan Act….Why isn’t anyone asking about this and pushing for answers as to how this is not a violation of the law?”
– A comment on Daily Kos, a widely followed website of political and social commentary, on March 10, reacting to the Republican senators’ letter on March 9 to the leadership of the Iran government about negotiations over nuclear arms development.
“[Senator] Tom Cotton’s letter to the leaders of Iran admonishing them that any agreement entered into today could be reversed by Obama’s successor…appears unprecedented for a group of opposition members of Congress to engage in such a communication It may also be criminal [under the Logan Act].”
– Comment by Peter J. Spiro, a professor of international law at Temple University, on March 9, reacting to that senatorial letter. His remarks were on the website of Opinio Juris, a discussion site focusing on international affairs.

Lots of irony here. I mean, only congress can treat with foreigners, not the executive. And if they want unconstitutional, they simply need to check every action the 0bamaregim makes.
Also, Holder showed his 100 percent support for law enforcement by calling the Ferguson shooters "damned punks".
