    Any antivirus for XP64?

Avast isn't cooperating with me anymore. I need an antivirus that works with XP64. Any suggestions?

I use McAfee total protection. while poking around I found this, maybe you will find it useful.

    1Pat...

I have a previous version of Avast, still kept up to date with virus definitions, that I can get to you. Uploading it now to CC's FTP server for her website. I'll PM you a link to download it with additional instructs once it's uploaded. It's V6, the last one that worked for me under XP64...when they went to V7 and I updated it would no longer install correctly...had to revert back to V6, but they still maintain virus definition updates for all versions back to V5.

It's what I currently run for my XP64 install.

Not sure what version of XP I have on my laptop, but when I recently asked around here for some free anti-virus, I ended up going with AVG Free and Malwearbytes. Have been very happy with them; my laptop is running better than before.

Yeah I can't get AVG to install either. Looks like I gotta save everything to another drive and completely start over with a fresh install. I repaired it recently, none of my programs are in the registry and I can't get avast or any other antivirus to install.
