I tuned out of SNL a very long time ago.
edit to add an additional thought. At one time comedians poked fun at those in power, whom ever they were. Now, they just poke fun at conservatives and those that admire/adhere to traditional values. It's just not funny, it's a never ending assault.

But everyone thought it was really Sarah who said something that dumb, as if that made her some foreign policy expert. It went from comedy in the 70-80s to cue card reading.....
They use to "practice" for a week and then do the show. Now its like they are seeing the cue cards for the first time once they are in front of the camera.
Its no where near acting, just choppy, bad, 8th grade reading.
