    British 303

For those of you that have British rifles, Midway has surplus 303 ammo, non-corrosive. You can get the details on their web site....I have not seen any 303 surplus in a long time. It will be good to shoot the P14s again....chris

It is POF or Pakistani made. It is Berdan, I don't believe it is noncorrosive, but ... http://www.luckygunner.com/rifle/303...ammo#rid=2AMed. I don't see anything about it being Noncorrosive.

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/produ...ammo?a=1590676 Oh btw Sportsmans Guide has S&B boxer primed NC .303, 10 cents more expensive per round.

My standard loads cost $.07... Bren loads around $.13

Only thing I'd buy nowadays is Prvi.

If it's POF I'd pass at just about any price. I've read very little good about their ammo though I guess it's possible to get a decent batch now and then. The stuff that used to be available might have been older.

Thanks for the heads up. Back when I had my C&R I bought a few Enfield's. I have never shot a ONE of them. Might have to look into it.

We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

Yep Paki, Yep corrosive, Yep not worth the price.

It is some seriously click bangy stuff, bought a bunch of it back when it was about $2 a box, had some fun, helped get rid of an small flinch.

i could probably burn that up in about 15 minutes if I still had spare barrels.

If you're looking for .303 British to hunt with, these aren't bad. It's been quite a while since I've seen anything in .303, so I picked up a few boxes of these. Since the only reason I shoot .303 is as a hunting round, these are perfect.

None of the stores around here are selling any .303.

The review on the Midway site says there is no headstamp and he didn't have any problems with the ammo. I just have two REALLY nice P14s that need shootin'......I could reload but I am out of powder for that round and am home bound with a badly torn thigh muscle. Can't drive or hardly walk for a couple weeks....chris

I've just been using 11gr of Unique with 170gr cast loads.

Good enough for plinking at 200 yards Without taking a beating. Brass doesnt take a beating either.

This thread makes me nostalgic for the days when British Kynoch-manufactured military cordite .303 could be had for around 5 cents a round. Great shooting & accurate stuff it was too....

Get the Sellier & Bellot ammo. POF is likely to have a high percentage of dud primers. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/720...ProductFinding Link to it at Midway. The cases are reloadable so at least you have some useable cases after you pull the trigger.
