I always wondered what the demographics of North America would be, as well as what the inner cities of the United States would be like if Africans were never brought here.

I remember before port calls in Europe in the Navy, the security people who had to brief the crew about safety in port and off-limits areas always had a tough time trying to impress upon sailors that you can't tell if you're in a bad neighborhood the way you typically do in the US. They couldn't come right out and say that you could be in the ghetto and not realize it because everybody was white.
