.223 Ammo At WalMart

Just got back from WallyWorld and bought 10 boxes of Perfecta, 55 gr., non-corrosive, boxer primed for $8.94/ box of 50. That works out to $.1788/ round.

I thought that was pretty cheap for a box of 50. It's as cheap as a box of .22 LR, when you can find them at a sporting goods store.

If you reload, it's really a pretty good deal.

I'm not sure if this price is a mistake, or they sell for this, normally, but I bought them while I could....

That's what I thought. I figured, for what you were getting for the price, I couldn't pass this up. Since I only went to one store, I couldn't check and see if this were the normal price, or just a computer pricing glitch.

Maybe someone else can check in their area...

I've seen a lot of Perfecta brand around here.

Less than 18 cents a round ... sweet! I may have to look for that at my local Wally World.

I've shot their .45 acp and it was fine. I believe it is turkish. I am sure their .223 is good too. I may pick some up for my next range trip if it's still around at that price.

I just checked the box and it states it is made in Italy and distributed by Tula.

It could be. Before I bought it, I asked the clerk to check the price and when he did, it came up $8.94/box. That's the only reason I bought 10 boxes. Couldn't pass it up at that price. Gonna go to a different Walmart, tomorrow, and see what they have it listed for.
