Make a good car gun if you worry about getting it ripped off...

Actually, they look better now than they used to - a little...

They're ugly & a bit heavy, but they work great plus have a life time warranty.
    Can't beat that.
The 2nd Amendment : Washington didn't use his right to free speech to defeat the British, he shot them.

do a search for my hi-point threads, I recomend them for what they are, cheap reliable pistols. Mines been good and works just fine with LSWC reloads. You can also convert 1911 mags to work in them (the gun feels and looks alot better with a 1911 mag IMHO). They are a fairly crude design, and they're not my first choice but they do the job.

depends on how hard the thing is you're hitting, I remember a guy on glocktalk posted pictures of a hi point he tried to pound nails with and the frame was trashed

My brother's got one and absolutely HATES it. He wanted a handgun, preferably a 1911, but his financial situation at the time dictated something....cheaper. Mags are crap, can't conceal for shit, too heavy for most folks who don't have forearms like Popeye. I fired it right after he got it, and I don't even like it.

But there's hope. When he gets back from the hunting camp I was supposed to go to, he's getting my Taurus PT1911. It's not like I can't find another to replace it with.
How do you compromise with someone when their idea of compromise is to give them what THEY want?

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I have a Hi-Point 9mm that lives in my truck. I clean it and oil it when I clean the other guns so it won't rust, but I don't shoot it much. I guess it would make a good throw down if it wasn't for that pesky serial number.
    Returns June 3rd.
