His opponent Jesus "Chuy" Garcia wouldn't have been an improvement. Both are long-time members of the Chicago Democratic Machine. There was never any real alternative choice in this election.

The candidates are picked by the machine and the votes at the polls don't really matter. The results will be whatever they say they are.
